CLOTH¬ ¬ Through the years I've worn a variety of different hats. It was after a while I settled on a style of hat that best suited me - a short billed hunter or more specifically Army hat.¬ Back in 2010,on my way back to Alaska, I stopped into a Walmart for some food and other items. As it were I saw a nice military hat that I just had to have, so I bought it.¬ This hat was different though. It was made by Carhartt with re-enforced cloth. Down through the years, I've asked people what kind of cloth is this?¬ Who knows is the final consensus.¬ I've had this hat and wore it like religion for about twelve years now - it's seen a lot of action but now....it's time to replace it. I'm trying to find another duplicate of it but knowing just what the fabric is makes a difference. If this were typical cotton,it would have died years ago.¬ I'm going to try and provide a couple of image of it and maybe you can tell me.¬ ¬ You can see the checkerboard strands that help strengthen it. As for the cloth itself it's like....sea tarp or...oil cloth....?¬ ¬ ¬ ¬
