Ah. When I go to open help and sign in, the auto fill in for name and password does it's bit, then get told it's incorrect so get the link sent to my email to change password, but when I follow the link help tells me I'm already signed in.

When my post was rejected, even though it was showing as I was logged in, I thought maybe that could have something to do with it.

Usually if you go back and forth or log in and out or sit in a page for a long time. It tracks sessions, so if you do anything weird like that stuff it can some times cause an issue.

Doesn't look like it. ๐Ÿ˜ž I'm sorry. Usually it keeps a log, unless it fails the one check that failed for you.

Honestly thinking about removing that one entirely since it seems to cause more harm than good. HelpBot catches 95% of spam without it.

I think your login session got into a weird state paste time, based on the errors I saw. But Iโ€™m not sure what caused your account to get into that state... it seems that it fixed itself, which is even more strange. Iโ€™m pretty sure the pictures vs no-pictures in the post was just a coincidence.

Hey.
I tried to make a post and add pics from imgur to it and it said I wasn't allowed to do that.

I made a post with just the writing and posted the pics in the comments and that was ok.

Why can't we put pics in the post?

On the original site my name was BuckingFastard (JN)

I tried using that name on here and it wouldn't let me due to profanities.

Is there a way YOU can get round this?

It isn't really profanity written like that.

I've never agreed with the restriction of my name, I'd really like my old name back.....

The warning is currently automatically added. A mod can also add/remove it if they deem necessary - if a post is incorrectly tagged, you (or anybody) is welcome to "report" it to the mods for correct flagging.

There are plans in the future for allowing a user to change it- but only if a mod hasn't previously done so.

And that is correct. An "adult" user can be linked or invited to the post, but the post will not appear on the home page, in search results, or (theoretically) anywhere else. For "minors", if they try to view the post, they'll be redirected away.

Didnโ€™t know you were having troubles uploading an avatar- when did you last try it? In the beginning only very small files were allowed, so that may have caused an issue?

You should be able to invite as many people as you want. You may just have to invite them off screen and then copy/paste the message with their names. =/

Just doing @their-name as text will invite them.

Nope! If you just post as anonymous the reply shows up as anonymous and the invites are sent as anon. I invited you to a post- did you get it.

Hey, no need to apologize for any glitches, you brought help back, even with a million glitches it's still better than not having help!

I will try that as a workaround.

Since this seems to be a work in progress, do you think it would be possible to set it so it doesn't show in the post who invited whom?

Hm. That's quite strange. I'll have to look into that! Sorry about that. :(

As a workaround, you could type them separately, then copy and paste them into the field. Tagging will work in your shout trail as well- so you type them here to get the autocompletes and paste them in there.

Each time I hit @ then the name, it goes back.to the top of the page, I.scroll down to the reply box and @ a new name,then it's back to the top, scroll down a.3nd time and the reply box is empty of the 2 I just tagged

I just tried to invite all my friends to my post but once I had 2 friends tagged it just..... disappeared

Thatโ€™s not how the old site did invites, nope. Itโ€™s new.

Accepting friends you just open your friends tab

Account Admin -> Friends

Then you can see all of your friend statuses.
