"Sierra Night Tide is a descendant of Castilian & Portuguese travelers (with just a pinch of Danish.) Her Castilian ancestry is from the tip of the Castilla region in Burgos. Her Portuguese side is a mystery with very little known other than they were "sailors."

From the very start she was "spirited" and took after more of her mysterious Portuguese side than her lady-like society acceptable Castilian Roman Catholic side. With whispers that she is part viking, all attempts to raise the child in how to dress, what to look like, what weight to be at and what to think, love & live, failed miserably.

Finding the training to be not only impracticable but unrealistic she decided to become a pirate."
