Is it weird that you meet his mother but neither him or her inform you that they are related?

I really like this guy and I’ve posted on here before about him being a gym instructor. The other day in his class I met this woman. We were partnered together. She was nice. She asked me a few things about myself. Today I looked on his social media and seen he followed this lady. I clicked on her page and she is his mother. Now I’m just like I hope I didn’t say anything dumb. Haha. But I was talking with my own mother and she was laughing saying maybe he didn’t want to be embarrassed or he’s a mama’s boy. I mean I get it. But at the same time I think I would have said this is my mother or this is my son. I mean my sister comes to class with me sometimes and he knows we are sisters. But is it weird that even she didn’t mention “I’m his mother”? I just find it a bit odd that they just didn’t say.

I don't find it strange at all. You don't owe anyone an explanation of where you came from. Nor does she.

If knowing who she was, would you have acted differently? Than this is not the man you need in your life. You need someone that you can be genuinely honest with regardless of family.
