been a while

since i replaced my guitar strings.

lil over 10 yrs.. kinda forgot a few things. so when re-stringing it do you let it strech out then de-tune it to the correct tune?

I haven't played regularly in about the same amount of time, but from what I remember, you should be able to tune immediately.

i did.. tune it to the right tune.. then it was out of tune bout 10 minutes later

i have a korg auto tuner that lets me know its tuned

yeah I think it loses tune faster until it stretches out a bit but you can still tune

Uptune only.
Put guitar in tune.
Take a quick tug of moderate pressure on each string.
Maybe 3 quicks tugs per string.
Retune guitar.
Repeat.
Let srings set overnight .
Retune.
No matter what you do guitars never will be in perfect tuning.
Just try to get it as close as possible.
