Advice Post

So a friend of mine passed away recently. We had both started a kind of informal reading group that we kept going for years and years. The past few years the meetings got less frequent.

So the last meeting like nine months ago and she passed away like a couple of months ago.

We were basically the people who started the group. I have contact info for one of the other people in the group. But she had been the main driver of it for a while.

Should I...try to keep it going? Even if I wanted to, would it be weird? Feels kind of awkward.

Actually, perhaps my problem is solved because her significant other is holding a get together so maybe ill get to discuss it with other people in the group who were invited shrugs. I'd still appreciate thoughts if anyone has any. Then again, not sure if I'm going to be able to make it though cus i may have a conflict.

It's up to YOU. If you want to try to continue it, ask the others what they think and decide what to do from there. Stick with the same group? Start another group of your own? If you don't want to continue, let someone else take the helm and find yourself another hobby.

Sorry about your friend. Keeping the group together might actually be a way of paying homage to or just remembering your friend. Is that something you want to do? Yeah I'm not much help, that's a personal thing between you and your feelings and how you want to address losing your friend.
