I don't think it looks "old" at all - I think the layout and colors make it look user-friendly and simple. So people don't have to spend extra time trying to figure out what's going on. It's also very cheery. I don't know, I may be a little bias. But I always liked the way it looks.

Itโ€™s hard! Other people donโ€™t understand. Thatโ€™s one thing that makes me nervous- does the site look too old now, so people wonโ€™t use it? I donโ€™t know.

yeah I can see how it might turn into a popularity contest with the voting system, but there's no perfect system lol.

yes as soon as this site was back up I got so many messages from old members letting me know. It was so exciting haha :) I tried explaining it to my bf but he didn't understand why I was so excited about a website lol

The only thing Iโ€™m worried about with the vote is it becoming a popularity contest more than anything else. But weโ€™ll see how it goes. ๐Ÿ˜„

I love how many of the old helpers jumped back on here so quickly. ๐Ÿ˜Š Definitely need to work to get this place more bustling though. But it takes time.

I know - I feel like there's hardly anyone on here using the site. I use to be an avid help-user waaaaay back in the day. It was so busy back then. I feel like it was forever ago.

And thank you! I was just wondering what the qualifications were because I think it would be really cool to be apart of Help in a more impacting way. And I've always been secretly curious how mods were chosen haha.

The biggest thing is filling a hole in our current coverage. Right now weโ€™ve got a few mods, but very few โ€œnewโ€ users, so there isnโ€™t a lot of need for moderation.

As the site gets more popular and we start seeing traffic, the need for more mods will arise. At that time, weโ€™ll have a way to select a few potential mods and likely do a community vote for who the next mod will become.

Chances are, it wonโ€™t be for a bit though, as we have very little fresh traffic coming at the moment.
