Any recommendations on a mini sewing machine?

Oh yes, I want one of those treadle machines, too!

I was talking to a cobbler a number of years ago & he claimed that the old treadle style sewing machine was preferred in his trade because of the control it gave & it could easily punch through the thickest leather.

Nice!

Yeah, & it's a lot lighter than a regular sized sewing machine.. which is important when living in a camper. Ideally, I'd like to have 1 of those old Singer treadle sewing machines but lack the space for it.

How do you stay ambitious?

To do otherwise, as far as I'm concerned, is "death in life" & to be avoided.

The important thing is that we are still alive :)

I ended up buying a used IKEA sewing machine.

How is your New Year going so far?

Hey, I hope you're in some place that's enchanting in one hearty way or another. The weather around you has at least likely changed. :) Hopefully, you're getting a chance to relax and absorb this spongy Summer of a Planet-bowl.

Well, it got hot here, bichin hot at around 120F. Cooled down a bit the last few days but it's gonna rocket back up again. My friend's dog died from, I believe, heat stroke & I had to bury the little girl.. which truly sucked. Then I had to cart my friend to the hospital, after days of buggin her, & she ended up suffering from hyperthermia/dehydration/kidney failure. She maybe had hours to live & then, after being transferred to another (bigger) hospital in Penticton, suffered a heart attack. Luckily, she pulled through but is left with 50% heart function. My pups are doing fine though, since I have a 24v spot air conditioner for them that I run off solar.

My dad is a huge jerk.

Time can change things, sometimes for the better, so there could be that hope. My stepdad & I NEVER got along & then he got old, suffered maybe a micro-stroke & then became.. likeable. Something in his brain changed & he let go of some resentment he had, which led to some positive interactions & a glimpse of what things could have been like, though only for a short time before we parted company. He's dead now so I can only settle for that. I probably haven't been of much help but I'm only a psychotherapist on TV.. or I outta be.

Hello.

One thing to seriously consider is your diet & lifestyle choices. By all means see a doctor ASAP, but being on meds is often a bandaid solution & can have unpleasant side-effects.
