The people that I didn't choose


They didn't choose me too
But here we are

To suffer for knowing them
Despite the lessons learned
And I wonder if I am the cause

But I find compromise
Like a rug takes dirty boots
And I don't want their world in mine

Their ideals, their disruptions, and rules
All feel like a false place to live in
But I am stuck here, with their dubris in my backyard..
