I’m sorry, I’m not a very “creative/artistic” person, so I don’t have very good feedback most of the time. I don’t like to leave generic replies, so I often just don’t say anything... I wish I had that skill set 😪

When a poet shares his work all you have to say is thank you
No special skills are needed.
Someone once said if you ignore the arts the arts will go away.
Very true.
A poet or composer is sharing his deeoest part. Maybe think on that

This is my personal opinion...

This site is about helping others, not supporting the arts... So, if an artist posts there art for the sake of getting approval/ratings/whatever, that really isn't what this site is for.

However, if an artist is looking for a critical review of their work... As an example: someone has to write a poem for a school project, that has to meet certain criteria. They post it here looking to see if it meets the requirements. That absolutely falls within the scope of the site.


The other thing to keep in mind about art, is that it is subjective. Some people love to read poetry, others don't. Some people like one poem, that others hate, and hate poems that others like. That opinion has no bearing on whether the art is 'good' or 'bad' because it is a subjective thing.
So, I guess what I am trying to say, is if you are making art, do it for you. If it brings you joy in making it, reading it, looking at it, listening to it. Great! You don't need to have liking of others for art. It should be something for you.
