People really shouldn't ask stupid questions and not expect to at least get some stupid answers.

Yeah well there are some stupid people out there. And, well, like Forrest Gump said - “Stupid is as stupid does”.

One thing it could be...

Sitting around thinking how over 65% of our country is a religious part of our U.S. nation and how such cognitive dissonance concerning the antithetical nature of believing in a religious doctrine while believing you can also exist in an evolving culture with rules(laws) of it's own must be mind breaking.

Since religion is such a moral impact on many Americans lives, I've reconsidered this moral guidance(assuming the ten commandments as the basis of such so called morals as Christians account for the majority of the U.S. population at 65% of the entire country) and broken them down into a modern, simplified 4 commandment revision.
Commandment 1. covers: The Bible's commandments 2., 3., 4., 5., 6., 7., 8., 9., and 10.
Commandment 2. is appended to the new commandments to refresh and modernize moral ethics in today's world.
Commandment 3. is also new and included the same as commandment 2.
Commandment 4. covers: The Bible's commandment 1. and asks you to f***ing get at least a little real.

Ten commandments. Modernized and simplified into 4 easy commandments.

1. Be free to do as you wish, so long as it doesn't affect anyone else. Return kindness as you wish it to be returned to you. Expect to obey the laws of your communities.

1a. Don't be stupid.(See commandment 3 for more)

2. Mind your own business.

2a. When driving, stay out of the way of traffic. If someone is trying to drive faster than you, get out of their way and then you'll never have to see them again. Don't be in the way.

2b. Don't be in the way. It is wrong to stop everyone else from being willingly productive with their lives just because you are ignorant. Learn all you can without being in the way.

3. Learn all you can. Don't be stupid. Even if at your own pace. Your ignorance can be fixed. But willful stupidity is not individual growth. It is willful stupidity. Willful stupidity should be punishable by death. But this is a kind and generous commandment and does not condone such behavior. Almost. But not quite.

4. If you have faith in a god of any of the world religions you are free to have said faith so long as the prerequisites in commandments 1., 2., and 3. are fully met.

(See commandment 4. addendum and explanation...Currently in progress)

4a. If you have no faith in a god of any of the world religions you are free to have said lack of faith so long as the prerequisites in commandments 1., 2., and 3. are fully met.

4b. If you have any combination of any previously said faith or lack of faith in any of the world religions, in any form whatsoever not otherwise mentioned in these commandments constructed or contrived which may:

I: Serve to usurp or act in any way contrary to the spirit of these commandments

Or,

II: Affect the rights of others

You will be ****shit out of luck!

So there you have it! The 4 commandments!
Don't ****fuck with others, Mind your own business, Don't be stupid, and believe in ****shit that's not there if you want, or don't.

Viola! Better world already :)
