You would be better off discovering old music that you have not heard before.
Also, genra plays an important role. You don't want to trap yourself to depend on a specific style of music to entertain you.
I listen to most anything except rap or hip-hop but I enjoy music from as far back as the 40's. As it gets closer to the 90's and beyond, it becomes a challenge for me. Still, that's a fairly large net.

My son turned me on to this bluegrass guy. I never thought I'd like this kind of music, well not since Earl Scruggs died, but this guy can play better than anyone I've seen in my life, and I play guitar and live in Nashville, Tennessee... aka Music City USA
