Hello.

I need advice about my blood pressure. I had my blood pressure taken and it read 180/90. A lady standing close actually started gasping and telling me to get to the hospital NOW. Was there a reason for her reaction? I have no idea of what the "normal" reading should be. Any clues?

A normal blood pressure level is less than 120/80. I would see a doctor to see what is causing the high pressure. :-)

I know my reply is a bit late, but a reading that high is considered 'hypertensive crisis.' You do need to see a doctor right away.
