Changing Link Previews:

As many of you have seen, we've had link previews that automatically generate when you paste a url.

This has been changed to no longer be the default behavior. Instead, if you want to show a link preview, you wrap your url in square brackets, like this:
Which will generate:

Other urls will simply become a clickable link:
http://help-qa.com

Images, gifs, videos, etc will still automatically display when you post raw urls. Additionally, images now appear "inline"
So if you have a small image or gif like this one https://forum.purseblog.com/smiles/animated/wav... it will appear directly within your text.

Hopefully this will be a little more clean and act as expected. If you experience any issues with this, please either comment here or send me a shout directly.

Also- when it comes to posts announcing new features, feel free to test the feature on that post so that you can get comfortable with the feature. (It also helps me if you find edge cases or bugs that I didn't see before)

Pro tip: Somebody left a comment with some cool formatting that you want to learn how to do? "Quote" their reply. It will show you in the reply box the raw text that they entered in order to get their comment to appear that way.

Cheers!

Also- updated invites to actually show whether or not the User got invited or not.

Some users may opt to not receive invites from non-friends, so while you can still "tag" them, they won't actually get invited.
Additionally, if a user is already subscribed to a Post, or has already been invited to a post, they won't be invited again. (To prevent spam)

If it's desired by users, I can add an additional invite tag to "invite all friends", "invite all online friends", or other blanket invites like that. Usually invite systems avoid doing blanket invites so that the invites can be more personal.

Which syntax do you mean? The square brackets around a url?
