My roomate is crazy.

If you're in none of the above, you're in an in between area.

But room mate situations have different laws from renting a whole house

One thing you could look up is your municipality rules for renting. You might be surprised that your city requires people who rent a room to "claim" the profits and pay taxes...or to follow certain types of rules with number of people

If your LL is supposed to "claim" the income and doesn't...you might have something over his head.

Is there a second bathroom?

All of the southern states: TX to FL and GA...along with CO, WY....are very LL friendly

Okay...the states that are the most tenant friendly are VA, DC, NY, CA, WA, OR, PA

In those states, you will have more rights

Does your current LL say that you have to give notice if you want to move out? And if so, is it in writing?

Are you in the US?

Keep calm and a low profile until you find a new home. But find one ASAP.

Are you going to be looking for another room to rent? If so, let me help you with the contract....

Basically the roomate has a green light to disrespect me and if I retort ill be on the streets in the cold.

Honestly, he cannot kick you out. That's illegal. Some states are more LL friendly and some are more tenant friendly....and primary residences are a whole other ball game (room mate situations)....but NOBODY is allowed to kick someone out for those "infractions" you listed above....without a proper notice. Which depends mostly on your state (10 days/30 days/etc)

Also....I just have to LOL. About the kitchen being "off limits." When you rent a room, those common areas are usually for EVERYONE. I KNOW that there are times when I've been cooking and my room mates got in the way...or I got in their way.

Sometimes, I have posted a planned menu on the fridge so that everyone knows I'm planning to cook on which days

Sometimes, I've offered to cook for room mates. I charge them price per plate....I'm ****anal and frugal and I always figure out how much a meal costs and how much it costs for each serving. I post a menu for the week of what will be cooked. Room mates circle what they want to eat. I have price per plate plus a dollar for them to eat. Its still far cheaper than going out to eat or buying and cooking for one....I love that, because I'm cooking anyway. and it gets everyone else out of the kitchen

Also Im afraid they may try to harm my cat if I leave the house.
Will someone talk to me over the phone.
I think I need law enforcement.

Try to not get LEO involved....that will escalate things and make your living situation even worse until you can move.

HOWEVER, if they are harming you physically, by all means, call LEO

Yes, you're right. Marty is being a dick head and has no right to treat you without respect.
