Why do millenials not like to use the phone and prefer texts?

Both of the above answers are correct.

I'd say it's not just millennial though. Boomers/older generations are simply used to phone calls so that's what they choose. If they had texting when they were younger, I'm sure they'd prefer it.

Another big thing for me is that I have a hard time speaking to people. I like to think out my answers before I reply to somebody. Over-the-phone conversations have an expectation to respond quickly, and that makes me panic to just say the first thing that comes to mind without planning the words to communicate properly, so my words that come out don't reflect how I really feel.

Best Approach?

I always hate leaving jobs. I hate feeling like a disappointment to my employer/higher ups, but you need to do what’s right for you!

If it’s possible, can you start with a couple of hours at the new job and take a few less hours at the old one and slowly phase the one out into the new?

How to deal with bad anniversaries without spiraling into a depressive episode?

Forget the anniversaries! Don’t write down the date. Don’t think about the date. Treat it like every other day. Don’t give the demons the feast of misery they want.

Safe

Great poem, Eddieee.
I have a tendency to bury my emotions and I’ve noticed that I seem to block out many traumatic or even unpleasant events.

So, what next? Do the skeletons stay buried or come back to haunt you later?

I'm sad...

When you chance to meet a frown, do not let it stay!

Turn that frown upside and smile the frown away! 😊

forget it.

Sorry to hear that, anon. 🙁

What makes life so bad? Have you ever read “The Secret”? It talks a lot about how the things we focus on are attracted into our lives. While I don’t really believe in any mystical, beyond-the-realm of measurable power abilities people have, I definitely think that our attitude really affects the way we interpret things. I won’t go and say things like somebody definitely has it worse so you should be happy- but i’ll Bet that there are many people that have it worse, but because they keep a smile on their face, their lives are more managaeable and they manage to enjoy their lives regardless. It’s all in the attitude.

I don’t know your situation, but I do know that positivity spreads. Just act positive. Just be positive. Every bad thing that comes your way in just another leaf in the wind, and sit back and appreciate the wind blowing on your face.

Good luck, Anon. I hope things turn around soon. ☺️

I cant decide whether to buy a caravan or rent a room to get away from my abusive brother.

I hate that it had to come to that. ☹️
But at least you're out? So where are you going?

I hate when people are harassing me by being polite...

Is this a joke? I do this all the time. 😂 Gotta get good at being rudely polite when you deal with customers all day long.
