I don't think it's abnormal to not have any close friends. I think for most of the history of man we lived alone or in very small groups of family and if we met someone out in the jungle it was a fight to the death.. That sounds more natural than smiling at strangers.

I had the same deal last year. I lost 50 pounds and everyone at work said I looked horrible. They were used to seeing me at 215-230 and suddenly I was 175. People were saying I was getting old and feeble and drying up... kind of like a raisin although no one said that exactly.

Standing in front of the mirror when I got out of the shower I looked a lot better in my eyes, but I was weaker. So I understand where you're coming from. Even my wife said I was a grandfather now and I was supposed to be fat, but I think a lot of that was because she has gained a lot of weight since turning 50 too.

I think I'm the only one I know that did watch. It's really hard for a right wing conservative like myself to watch since Hollyweird has become so politicized. I guess they don't care that half the population of America disagrees with their views, but it kills the ratings. The last two years less than thirty million people watched, the least since they started keeping track of television ratings in 1974. In fact in 1974 45 million people watched the telecast and there were 100 million less people in the country... whew. I don't understand why the movie industry has been taken over by left wing crazies.

One time my dad had a cow's head in our refrigerator in the garage. We had a refrigerator in the garage just for beer and wine and soft drinks when I was a kid. Anyway he had stuck his hand in this cow's mouth with cuts on his hand and it died a couple of days later and he thought maybe it had rabies. So the only way to find out for sure was to send the brain to Purdue University so he just cut the head off the cow and put it in a burlap bag in the garage. I was probably 8 or 10 years old and opened up that refrigerator and looked in the burlap bag. I remember it like it was yesterday even though it was around 1969.... dammmmm.
