If a guy asks you where you work, is that a good thing?

I was talking to this guy the other day and things seemed to be going well. I’ve known him for a while now. I’m into him but I’m not sure how he feels about me. Before I left he asked me where I work and he said he knows I’ve told him before but he forgot. Was he just making conversation or is it kinda sorta a good thing for him to want to know things about me? I might be stretching here but any little thing would help. I do work with the public and he could always stop by to see me. I can dream right. Haha.

Based on what you’ve written, I would say he was just making conversation. Now, if he asked for your number, maybe...

Before I left he asked me where I work -

By the way, where do you work?

I work at "Such-And-Such."

- and he said he knows.

I know.

I’ve told him before but he forgot.

???

(I'm not sure how all this works out when put to a chronological measure, but generally speaking, I get what you mean.)

Ask him out for a date.

The worse that can happen is that he will unforget to remember what you asked and remind you to remind him of what he already knows, and say yes.

Maybe he's looking for a sweet discount at whereever you work.

Or maybe some one askes him, hey do you know where anonymous works? And he was like she told me and i forgot. I'll ask her next time i see her, to satisfy your curiosity.

I second the ask him out motion. It seems like everyone just kind of steps around dating these days... we text, we facetime, blah blah blah. How about sticking your tongue down his throat? That'll get his attention.
