for instance lost my cool today .. got in a heated shout fest..over stressful (unrealistic) work demands but luckily managed to steer the spitfire to plan for whats ahead.

wonderful feeling

doesnt matter
if right or wrong
as long you win.

That's usually when the mishaps happen.

I remember a few years ago I was under a lot of stress and pressure at my job and my boss comes in and says "Hey, that thing you know how to do a lot better than I do, let's do it this really dumb, much less efficient way that is going to give you more work." I told her "That is not a good idea." She flipped out on me just for telling her the truth.....

If she was over you like a supervisor or assistant vice manager or something like that you do it HER WAY. I know that sounds stupid but if you can find a simpler way to do it so can somebody else. When the opportunity arises (and it will) to explain why you are doing it the least efficient way. You were told to.
Now, after shes fired you have a good chance of getting promoted into her position.

That doesn't really help you @Yorick but you get my point, right?

With so many points of view, there is only one.

The view of life for the average working Joe, is like looking at things from the bottom, up.

The view of life for the average employer, is like looking at things from the top, down.

The common view of them both is that each looks at things through a one way glass.

The normal perspective of each is normal.

The obvious perspective of each is they are supposed to see their own reflection and how glaringly trifle their view is.

Regardless of the qualifiers, one has power and the other does not.

The responsibility of resolve will always sit in the lap of the one with the least power.

Ask why or how and you will usually get an answer. Always commend the solution and give full credit, so when it goes to hell in a hand basket, the other person clearly knows who was responsible.

my wits have soiled to a burnt end
much as i want to point the direction
for their unworthy plans as they wield their blunt swords
to only fall on their dull tools
for they shall suffer greatly
because they sucked at it in the first place.

Great that you dodged a bullet there.

I think, when you take a group of people, stick them in a square box, and try to make them perform in any sense, you're gonna see the ugly in mankind. The only difference between that and a circus is, that circus tents are round...

It's a stupid idea and until we change it we'll always have a fight waiting around the next corner about how to f*ck each other over to be the first and best. That's competition for you, the antithesis of cooperation.(America is losing btw)

But that's how we prefer to do it. Aint it.

Until that's different I wonder why we even b*ch about it? o.O

How we do business is one big giant mishap. But until we change it I suggest eat that sh*t and give us a big grin ๐Ÿ˜„
