There is a thing where people ask for a folllow for a follow back that i have seen people do.

Other than that, just make a lot of content and hope people like it.

Depends on the social networking site you want to increase. Basically it comes down to content, content, content. If people want to hear what you have to say, they will come.
I follow Dave rides a Trike and Stephen King; both have different content but I enjoy what they have to share.
I follow former potus orange julius on truth social for completely different reasons.

Thanks guys, I'm on youtube and instagram now sharing the work of my favourite artists as well as giving them exposure.

I also share my own art but it takes so long that I don't think anyone will ever notice me
