Stroke of luck.

Go figure. Last year my mom died & I was set to inherit a pile of cash. Well, with probate & bunch of other stuff it took til this December to get my greedy li'l mitts on it &, sure enuf, abou 5 days ago I ended up having an ischemic stroke. fvk. Now in rehab, good chance of a full recovery, but the irony of it all is simply precious

It was a really sad affair all around. She suffered from early onset dementia & watching it progress was pretty traumatic for all involved. More so for my sisters & especially so for my youngest 1. I live hundreds of miles away, while they were local, though it was jarring every time I visited. It basically ended up killing my father cuz she was basically what he lived for & as she slipped away.. so did he.
