Are people inherently good or evil?

If a child were raised to adulthood in a morally neutral environment - a hypothetical but impossible environment in which all the child's physical and psychosocial needs were met, but the child never faced a moral question - would the child grow up to be evil, good, or neither?

It seems to me that good and evil are both learned behaviors, but young children usually would rather learn good, at least in my experience.

Inherently good, though selfish. We learn to be both better good, and also evil.

An infant is innocent, like an animal. He knows only his own need to survive, not malice nor compassion.

Our life experiences teach us to care about others, but they also teach us how to use others to our own gain.

I was traveling to visit family over Christmas. Hope everyone got through it ok, and I wish everyone a prosperous New year.

A friend keeps overdozing on meds

There are pill boxes that have a space for morning and evening of each day off the week. As long as your friend is aware of the day, a box like this might help with keeping track of dosage.

Having her partner keep the medications and give the prescribed doses would be another option.

You could try starting a discussion of politics - that might result in some drinking. Or fights. Or both.

None of my family ever drink. They just retreat into their individual televisions or smartphones. It's not a visit at all, it's just doing the same damned thing at a an uncomfortable location. But I keep trying because family.
