Because they canโ€™t afford cocaine. Ha.

Best remark from the cuff!

Let's face it, drugs feel good and sweetly lie. They're more contagious than an STD and more expensive than a Saturday night ******hooker.
Drugs make us feel the way we should make each other feel but without all the detrimental effects.

Is there a section for intensely serious topics like child abuse experiences?

All of us here converge on a matter and give different views to help you.
You can tell us your story with or without explicit detail - we'll get the point.

If you follow someone on social media and they tell you they donโ€™t post much is that their way of telling you not to follow them?

Still doesn't answer my question -

If your colleague has little to no social circle then you should take what s/he said a little less personally. When s/he said, "I don't post much on social media," it wasn't a statement to stop you from following. It was a statement telling you that it may not be worth while....

But, here's what happens when you take it personally -

You said โ€œWell, I wonโ€™t follow you if you donโ€™t want me to.โ€ It's right here, at this point, that you assumed what s/he said to mean something entirily different.
Now, you've put that person in a bad circumstance because you made him/her feel like a bad guy for rejecting you and s/he must now salvage what they can by ceremonially holding your hand and assuring you -
"And they said 'follow away.' "

Even after all that, the only thing it seems you walked away with was -

"But yet they didnโ€™t follow me back."

This means you didn't hear a thing. When s/he said "Follow anyway," s/he wasn't stopping you OR giving you permission to follow, it was a do-what-you-like statement.

And you did. You got on social media and followed them - but it just doesn't end there. Now, you have the expectation that in following him/her that s/he should follow you back....

This paints a portrait of a relationship that never happened, based on a misunderstood interaction.

When it comes to social media, you generally don't need to ask permission from someone to follow them - just follow them. And if you happen to catch their eye and they are interested, they may follow you back.

Good luck.

Do you think this person has a large social circle?
