Why do people still use meth?


It seems to destroy lives. Its made from poison. You trash all your organs. You look horrendous. And yet people still think to themselves I think Ill give it a try.

I suppose they reach a low point where they just don't care about the long term, and think only of feeling better at the moment.

On a serious note, I think a lot of people either succumb to peer pressure and get addicted or are looking for SOMETHING, ANYTHING to self medicate.

Let's face it, drugs feel good and sweetly lie. They're more contagious than an STD and more expensive than a Saturday night ******hooker.
Drugs make us feel the way we should make each other feel but without all the detrimental effects.

Yes but again. There are tons of drugs that get us by without destroying us from the get go.
This is a very very evil drug that turns people into demons and sub humans. The information is out there . Why do they do this to themselves not to mention the labs that also harm innocent people. They blow up .
I understand heroin and cocaine but I dont get meth. Its reallly insidious. Its freakin outright marrying satan.

In America, it starts with painkiller prescriptions. Doctors provide pain meds to normal people who have been injured in someway. When the doctor will no longer supply the meds, or when they are not enough, people seek pain relief from illegal methods. ie meth. Same with ADHD drugs adderall, which is pretty much meth.

Personally I have been prescribed diazepam, which I could easily become addicted to because it was awesome. And I have misused codeine but didnt become addicted. Its easy to find relief from life in these drugs and it becomes easier to cope.

For other people, it could be peer pressure, self medication, just wanting a break from life.

I think most people have an addiction to something. whether its drugs, gambling, ***sex, alcohol, smoking, caffeine.

I will also add that I am a massive caffeine addict. My parents are alcoholics.

Breaking Bad is a fun show about meth.

A lot of times what people use is about how easy and cheaply it can be made, and meth is one of those that you don't necessarily need a degree in chemistry to make yourself.

The sense in which that is true can be said for most hard drugs and perhaps especially tobacco which does not even get you high. Yet people do them and millions enjoy television programs featuring their use and sale.

We went on a tanget here.
I lost many friends and love ones to meth.
Im very confused why anyone would poison themselves.
Having a fun t.v. show about meth labs is pretty sick stuff.

Wait. Meth is not used as a pain med.
Its a powerful stimulant.

I don't think people making tv shows about relevant issues is a sign of the end times, or particularly perverse.

I'm sorry that meth has effected you like it has. My family has also been negatively been affected by drug use, specifically two close relatives of minel, and it is a serious issue.
