Do you ever doubt yourself?

I really like this guy but I keep telling myself that he probably doesnโ€™t like me and that I wouldnโ€™t have a chance. I donโ€™t know why Iโ€™m so hard on myself. Any advice on how not to be like this?

If you have nothing to lose then ask him out.

Don't be so hard on yourself! It is good to doubt yourself depending on the context. Like, doubting yourself for assuming the worst - as in, don't assume the worst! Try to look at the situation from a neutral perspective and with all the information you have gathered. He may or may not like you. And it's good to be able to deal with rejection when it occurs, but don't let that discourage you! You will not know whether or not he's interested until you act, or simply ask him. But doubting yourself and feeling negative will not help you at all, so be kind to yourself first :) and p.s., if he doesn't like you, it's okay! Because there are billions of people on the planet and he isn't the only good guy out there. Trust me!

What is the context of your relationship now? If you are 15 and he's the star quarterback of your football team you don't have a very good chance. But until you stick your neck out, he'll never notice you.
Find something he likes and invite him to an event related to that.

I heard a story earlier today about a poor hungry guy who was walking by a wishing tree thinking about food when a delicious feast appeared. Then he thought I wish I had somewhere to sit and a comfy chair appeared. Then he thought I wish I had a beautiful woman to share all this with, and she appeared! Then he thought "no way this is happening to me, this is a trick" and because of that, it all disappeared.

Even if he doesn't like you yet, he could definitely start.

if you find yourself liking only to wind up wanting.

i still have this problem long after puberty.. one thing i learned is its hopeless feeling but a achievable desire. either you get over it or do something about it..

no point sitting there waiting for it to happen or realizing it didn't

Most guys wait for a sign from the girl before they will risk rejection.
