My friend Joni suffered from long covid & she ended up getting kicked out of assisted living (old folks home) because of it. Lucky for her that she had some money & some coming from disability to rent a hotel room or she would have been just another dying old woman kicked out onto the streets.

I still wear a mask at work. I work in a primary school. Not only to protect from covid, but any other bugs. I work one-to-one with kids with all sorts of additional needs who have zero awareness of hygiene/safety etc.

And it seems that since I had covid in February 22 I became really prone to getting sore throats. (Sore throat was the only symptom that I had when I had covid, but it was the worse sore throat ever. I lost my voice completely, unable to make any noise whatsoever for several days).

Since September when the school started here in the UK, I had a sore throat for 2.5 months non-stop. Then it stopped for 10 days, and I got it again for a while, then I caught some different bug where I would have a temperature. I never had a temperature as an adult in the past 27 years!

So, not sure how covid related it is, but I had never been this ill before covid started.

Yup, & right now she's applying for MAID because of her severe & unrelenting pain. The medical system (& the government in general) failed her here in Canada, as it does many who are disabled.

I am really sorry to learn that @BigWilly!! I do hope that she will get the right support.

My family and I have had covid 3 times, the original and both variants. The only way we knew is when one of us was tested positive and we all got tested. No shots, no side affects no problems.
