I think everybody should "go for" who they want. It's not a good idea to "settle".

That said, and not trying to offend anybody- standards need to be adjusted at times. If you're not a nice, kind, open-minded, flexible person who's willing to put forth significant effort and go out of your way to please your partner, then you can't really expect somebody that has those qualities to be into you if you're mean and selfish no matter how much you "want" somebody like that.

So go for who you want, but remember you need to be who they want as well. It's not a 1 sided thing.

It's kind of a bit of both? Hopefully the women 'who come around' will be the kind you want, you attract what you give off. So if you're not happy with the kind of people you're attracting, you have to either adjust your 'wants' or change something. Goes for women as well. Never use a person to satisfy base needs, that is unethical, unless they consent to it, and never give false hope.

There are some really nice women on this site--they are far, far above average!

Only about 30% of men and women make suitable life partners.

Search in that upper 30% "band of excellence." And, no, don't be focusing on raving beauties--look for women with a brain in their heads, and who can love without reservation and can be trusted even when no one is looking.

For males, the loss of innocence occurs when you find out that, yes, there are a lot of women who are--just like men--deficient in character and morals, and who would use and abuse you without a second thought.

Remember--the upper 30%!
