Where has all of my patience gone?

Nope @Araz . Just spoiled. You are used to certain things being a certain way and in a certain order. When a glitch happens now you take it as a personal afront to your psyche. Learn to take deep breaths and just let it go. Repeat, "this too shall pass" for the next 90 seconds.

I can't stand human contact

I disagree with BigWilly. I think it is in our nature to want interaction with others. Churches count on it. So do cults and rogue gangs like ISIS. When you find something to latch onto it releases endorphins that make you want to go back. Some are good some really bad. But it takes awhile to learn that reality.

My sixteen year old has been asleep for over 40 hours.

It could be a sign of early depression. I would get him out of the room for several hours and have someone do a thorough search of his bedroom for drugs. Make sure to have him empty his pockets in your presence too. You are being a responsible and caring parent, not being nosy and untrusting.

Have it out on the porch. I'm sure we can all fit in the front yard. Just ask everyone to bring their own beach chair.

what does existence have to do with existence after death? nothing. I'd explain existence through evolution and Big Bang theory not gods creating stuff

So you believe that **[POOF]** you came into existence and **[POOF]** you completely disappear when you die.
Is that basically it?
