I told myself I would finish uni get a job and be happy but I don't think I'll make it, I feel like it's only getting harder and even if I do make it will I even be happy?

It gets better. It's hard right now because there is a lot to do.
I find I do best when I focus on completing the task and ignore my feelings. Now, I recognize that that's not going to work for everybody, but why not just do a big push to complete this and see where you end up?

Even if you're not "happy" with where you are afterward, you are objectively in a better position. Not only that, but you'll have accomplished a mighty task, which is a great step in the direction of feeling better about yourself.

I'm sorry things are bad right now, and I wish there was some magic words to make it better, but the truth is it's going to take time. It might get worse before it gets better, but I promise it's going to gradually get better and eventually you'll realize that you're not doing so bad after all.

If nothing else- we've got a small, but genuine community here- and you're always welcome to come chat and make some friends here. We do care.

Are people inherently good or evil?

People in general are hard wired for โ€œnumero unoโ€- however, second in line is generally the human race, which implicitly tells us to be nice.

Iโ€™d say people are inherently good, but itโ€™s much easier to see faults.
A person walks down the street and you donโ€™t bat an eye- probably donโ€™t even notice. But if they suddenly mess up and trip- the 100 other steps he took doesnโ€™t matter. The only thing you notice is the one trip.
The same is applied with actions. A man can perform 100 small good deeds and people barely take notice. Then he does one small bad deed and suddenly all of the attention is on him and people are pointing fingers and calling him out, even if his good actions far outweigh the bad.
I think this can have a snowball effect where people start to expect other people to call out their faults, so begin to act โ€œfaultyโ€ all the time.

My main issue is that if I have access to a Facebook account I can search my ex and his fiancรฉe because their profiles are public. And even though I tell myself I shouldnโ€™t do it and I donโ€™t wanna do it I have no self-control

Basically โ€œkickingโ€ my mom out. (Sheโ€™s been living with us for like 16 months rent free- she originally said it would be 3 tops.)
Trying to deal with finding her a new place, selling our house in time to get the down payment for our new place, and of course trying to juggle weird payroll issues. Itโ€™s been chaos, and only going to get worse for a little bit.

Hopefully it ends well though. ๐Ÿ˜…
