This movie, produced in 1956, was about the far future--but it certainly captured the "Zeitgeist" of the 1950s era--people just don't act that way today.

The men in the movie undoubtedly used Brylcreem on their hair. That was de rigueur in the 50s and early 60s. Then Vitalis came along and derided Brylcreem as "greasy kid stuff."

But Brylcreem hung in there--their website today says, "Actually, it never left. Brylcreem has long been famous for the timeless slicked back look that keeps hair perfectly in place. But itโ€™s got even more going for it. One small dab and it shines, styles and conditions hair. Itโ€™s 3 grooming products in 1. Saving you time and counter space."

I still don't like greasy-looking hair!

I don't really like the greasy look either! Slicked back looks nice when it's clean and healthy, but not dirty!

Forbidden Planet.

I watched this movie when I was really young with my mother. She loves the classic science fiction movies. I remember being slightly bored, which made sense because I had to be 10 or so. Maybe younger. But it had enough of an impact to remain in my memory, which means a lot.

I had girlfriends .live in girlfriends since I was 16. My last one cured me of any desire to continue getting involved. I am most happy being single. It took a whole life to figure that out. Sorry for the lack of details but Its too personal. Amen to being single

Being single definitely has its perks...the freedom to be whoever you are without hesitation. To do whatever you want without thinking of how it affects someone else, only you. To enjoy the presence of who ever you want without limit.

How did it end up?

I didn't email her in time and the grades were posted as was. I got 3 A's, a B, and a C. The C came from this particular class. I should have emailed her about it to protest the grade but I got cold feet.

Every time I try to find myself, I end up getting lost...again...and again.

If you weren't lost where would you be?

Merry Christmas Anon. Hope it was a day of no stress or work. Too bad we don't all live in the same neighborhood to have a Help Christmas.

We hit $120.79 for the domain as of this morning. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Buying the domain is the cheaper side of hosting, the biggest cost is actually hosting the server, especially as the site becomes more popular/more users start to join, as we'd need to throw more money at it to make it bigger/faster to sustain the usage.

I never expected any donations or anything from this site, as I was happy to just put it up. So everything is greatly appreciated. I'm glad it's taken on well. Now we just need to drive more users to it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yay! It sounds like a lot to donate but it's not really that much. If everyone donated $10 we'd hit it in no time.

Out of curiosity where is the water getting in your car?

My car has a leak inside.

That's true, I know zero about cars or how to fix them so I'm usually reliant on others for that kind of help...do you have any friends who might have had a similar problem with their cars and know what could help?
