Time is not a clock but a Clock was invented to MEASURE Time.

Menstrual cycles were the original calendar. Your welcome!

Have you ever loved someone you shouldn't have?

I think you did the right thing by respecting your at-the-time girlfriend. I think you're still doing the right thing by respecting your friend you have feelings for since she is still dating someone else. It wouldn't be right of you to confront her with your feelings and make her choose. Your best option is to stay friends with her, try to keep that friendship alive at least. And if her relationship doesn't work out, you can always swoop in and let her know how you feel. ๐Ÿ’™

I havenโ€™t gotten any cravings to smoke (Day 10 Nicotine free!) but Iโ€™ve been told Iโ€™m crankier, I have a gross cough that wonโ€™t go away, and Iโ€™m tired all the time.

I would say at least a month. 21 days, maybe.

But good job! I'm proud of you for quitting!

How can I help my mum?

I think opening up a shop is risky in more than one way. For starters, are you going to be okay if it doesn't work out? Will that take a major financial toll on you?

I mean, it sounds like a great idea if all goes well. You would be making more money, your mother would have something to do. But what if she didn't like it? What if she wasn't a good employee? Could you fire her? Could you pay her a steady wage? Could you tolerate her that much? Just trying to help point out some possible pros and cons, if I'm coming off too negative that is.

Thank you! I mostly use spotify for music because I don't have a lot of Cd's and don't like itunes or radio. It makes custom playlists based on artists or songs that are similar sounding. I've been introduced to a lot of awesome bands in the process. ๐Ÿ™‚

One of the most interesting things in life is to learn about stages and stations.

As I see it, I have a choice between two world views.

1. There is no God. We are here due to a series of cosmic and biological accidents. We all have a finite existence in a finite cosmos. We will all eventually die and our consciousness will fade into oblivion. About five billion years from now, the sun will expand to the orbit of Mars and incinerate the earth. Some trillions or quadrillions of years from now, the last star will wink out and the cosmos will be engulfed in everlasting darkness. Some google trillion years from now, the last proton will disintegrate and there will be absolutely nothing left to say that we lived, that we loved, or that we counted for anything.

2. There is a God. There is a Plan. Our physical death will not be the end of our consciousness. The old cosmos and earth will pass away, but they will be replaced by a new cosmos with a new earth. We will live forever and our minds will keep expanding. We will have attained eternal paradise.

Nothing we do matters if the first world view is correct.

Everything we do matters if the second world view is correct.

I don't like subscribing to either of these views. I think if you ignore both of them, a world of possibility opens up to you. A world not determined by others but of your own entirely.

At least that's how I try to look at it.
