Most of my family members were in bed by 10pm. My oldest son is staying up with me and we are watching a movie. He made us both hot cocoa :)Tomorrow, I will let the younger three kids do some sparklers and popper thingies....

A happy New Year it was. At least for the 160+ people I drove safely back home last night.

Made $782 to boot. So yeah, I'd say that was a happy New year!

You drove 160 people in one night? O.o Must be short rides! All of the rides in this area are usually 10 miles at a minimum. With traffic thatโ€™s usually 30 minutes per ride. :P

That's quite gracious of you.

There was a news item the other day that taxi drivers around here refuse to run meters and overcharge on weekends & holidays. Their union had uber banned in court last month or so.

I brought people to a club. They were all(all the clubs) nearly empty. Good for us, bad for the club owners. Real good prices, food and music (live bands). They claim the lack or fear of cabs was the reason.
