sometimes everything seems bleak...

Oooh what book series? I could use a good fiction book, I'm sick of my study books too atm.

I think sometimes you just need to let it out, instead of trying to contain it. Watch a sad movie, sing sad songs, cry into a pillow.

I think thinking about why you feel that way does help, even if you think there's no reason, there always is. Then you can try to fix it or at least understand it.

I am curious if any of you guys who aren't American follow USA politics, and if you like our president?

I'm in the UK, I follow both UK and USA politics.

The general British opinion is that Donald Trump is just ridiculous. Putting aside the absolute idiot statements he comes out with regarding the UK (of which he does no research whatsoever about). If we didn't need a trade deal so bad the PM would probably just laugh in his face.

He's language is most telling for me though, he's just so simple, and childish, egotistical, and I think the only thing he gets out of being president (besides the ego trip) is it will earn his business, and his friends business's a hell of a lot of money.

Living at home question.

I have no advice, only to let you know that I'll be 30 this year and feel the same. I would wait until the job is in the bag before buying the house, plus it will give you time to save money for it. The ex is irrelevant now, make yourself happy.

I've come to realize people aren't friendly.

I think the problem is that people just don’t listen to others anymore. All they think about is what their next response will be. It’s not that they can’t be bothered to be kind. It’s that they’re too busy focusing on themselves.

I agree, I always feel that people talk at me rather than to me.

Post closed.

I was laid on my stomach and my arms were under my neck, I must have moved into a position which put pressure on my esophagus. When I woke up my thumb was pressing right on there. Funnily enough I was dreaming that my brother was trying to strangle me!

An interesting perspective on the whole "transgender" thing.

Its strange because I can't figure out if people were always thinking that way and not getting help (back in the 1990's and before), or if society is more accepting so people are more willing to 'come out'.

I think a lot of young people are more like brands now. It's the current way to market yourself, you have to be different to get famous. I don't believe in all of these different ***sex orientations, its just confusing. Be straight or gay, simples.

But are you being bothered to connect? You can't put it all on the other person, then no one makes a move. Maybe try to get that sense of community back from your end and people may respond?

Positive post!

I nearly bought some at the supermarket today, it looked like the type that goes crunchy and delicious (unlike the baguette versions) but I opted for caramalised onion and cheese bread, equally yummy.
