I cant cope with living here

Everyone is so needy, I never get chance to do what I want.

My mum might be going on sick leave due to stress because of a tribunal at work. I barely cope with my happiness vampire mum on a morning before she goes. I CANNOT cope with her at home 24/7. My dog and her cannot be left together at all. So that means I always have to be there and not focusing on my work and career.

And now my dad is home in the afternoons, which also disturbs my work. He always wants to watch stuff on tv and sports which takes my time. I live watching stuff with him but its always when I dont have time.

I just want to live my life in peace without everyone demanding my attention.

It sounds like you're needy too. So what's the deal you work from home and live with your parents? Doesn't sound like your dad is really doing anything wrong, I pretty much camp out on the couch and watch sports too. Have you thought about getting your own place or just shutting your door and locking it?

I live with my parents and work and study from home.

Im working on getting enough to move out but im not there yet.

I guess i am needy in a way that i need somewhere to live.

Idk, my dad makes me feel guilty for 'leaving him'

Yeah I only have one of my kids still home out of five and I'm doing everything I can to keep him here. I can relate to your dad. I mean if my son moves out it will just be me and my wife and I will be on here posting suicide notes.. lol.

Dad and mom have each other and you have a destiny to meet.

I would place an ad for a room-mate (pref female for you) that can split cost of a flat or (pref) rent/buy a small house.

There are others in your situation. Band together.

How long is she going to be home? Seriously can't you work in your room and just lock the door? I've noticed mothers and daughters often don't get along. Both of my daughters moved out right after high school. Actually one of them moved in with her boyfriend's parents when she was 17... I understood.

Could you not get your Mum to help you out with your crafts?
Maybe you could get some 'bonding' going on. I know you don't exactly see "eye to eye" still if your going to keep on living there, Nix it's only wise to be more sociable with them..

its ok, shes not going on sick now. I have an office but I cant leave the dog with my mum and he cant come in the office with me.

My aim is to maybe either have my mum run my craft business when i am doing the dog stuff, or let her do accounting/receptionist stuff for me. but thats a way off. im not making enough for her to start interferring with my craft business.

The problem is she takes over, and tells me how or what to do. i hate that, thats why i work for myself. i dont like people hovering over me, i just get on with work

my parent have hovered over me my whole life. theres nothing i hate more.

What's the deal with your mum and the dog?

Why can't they be alone together?

This one is just about ripe for a really off color joke.

Do you pay the rent/mortgage? Or the bills? Just wondering, not trying to be judgey. I had the same attitude when I was 17-18 years old and living with my parents.
God, I wish I could back in time and not have to pay rent again.

What is your career? Is there any position at your job that you could possibly do from home to make it easier on you?

Maybe you could find an online part time job just for the extra bucks.
