does anyone know anything about boilers?

random i know...but i moved into a new flat recently and its allelectric, no gas at all. i have a sh*tty electric shower and this tiiiiny boiler that barely fills the kitchen sink.

i have heard about cupboard sized fully electric boilers but dont know anyone who has one or knows much about them so i'm hoping you guys do! if i can get a proper electric boiler then i can have a bath put in :') i miss my baths....

does anyone know any decent brands/places to get an electric boilder? UK based preferably but anything will give me a better idea of what im looking for!

Boilers are a thing outside of American horror movies?!

I have a gas heater...is that the same thing as a boiler outside of Australia?

Oh no no. I'm not from the states. I'm in Australia. Lol. So then perhaps it is the same thing!

My gas heater heats my water, and also helps to spark my heater (in replacement of a fireplace) and my stove runs on gas.

I don't know much about boilers... though here in Canada we call what you are describing simply as water heater or hot water tank...

Though what I do recommend, if you can afford it is to get an instantaneous hot water heater. It will only heat the water going through it, and not store hot water.
They can be expensive, but they are far more economical to run, and are more environmentally friendly.

I would go and find a plumber, or if you want information drop down to plumbase and have a word with someone there. I've got one in current flat - but it was pre-installed so can't really tell you about costs

Tankless water heaters rule. My parents have one which supplies the entire house. Don't have to worry about running out of hot water for sure. I have one (propan powered) for my converted stepvan.
