Congratulations on being clean. I'm trying to get there myself. Going to narc anon and I'm five days completely sober. The sad part is that's probably the longest I've been straight in over 40 years... in fact I'm sure of it. It's not a lot of fun.

I don't know how I have not been an addict. When I was 5 years old, I coughed constantly due to asthma. It pissed my dad off, so my mom begged the doctor to do something.

From 5 through my late teens, she would give me pure codeine tablets. So that I would stop coughing.

I have also had several miscarriages in my life. I've been pregnant 12 times and 4...possibly 5 of those times, I was pregnant with twins. I suppose I'm "prone" to twins, but my body can't carry them to term. I was 6 months pregnant once when twins died in utero.

That aside, I do have 4 wonderful children and my life is blessed, but I do know how painful miscarriage can be; I feel for you and my heart aches for you

I'd like to prevent as many negative/toxic people as possible, but it can be difficult sometimes to tell the difference between somebody that is just having a bad day and somebody that's just plain cruel. You don't want to turn down people that actually need help, you know?

But! Let's focus on the future. You're stronger now and you'll be able to recognize if that's happening again. Even more so than that- maybe you'll recognize it happening to somebody else and you'll be able to be there and help them get through it.
It's a horrible thing to go through, but it's what made you stronger, and now you can move on and be a better person for it.

I leave the house from time to time but never alone. I'm an avoider, of people or interactions. Its mostly dislike of my body that keeps me indoors. Im seeing a therapist in a few weeks, hopefully it will help. But I feel it wont change unless I lose weight, and right now I'm struggling to do that.

Like, they really tried to pretend to "hide" that they were Adam Sandler (BADLY), I was feeling so damn brainwashed and emotionally invested that I went along with it...but I felt like CRAP for doing so. There was stuff I could tell you about their true self that could almost shock/scare almost ANY member here from the old site.
