Is there a free website that can help me track a couple of my friends with whom I lost contact?

I don't know of any paid sites that would what you request. You make it out like one needs FBI type skills and software to do this. Not likely you are going to find a site that would invade a person's privacy for free.

But speaking of file formats, what are some of the better formats for video; or audio files for that matter.

Hey better late than never :)

I haven't started studying welding yet. I spoke to a teacher briefly on an open day in a college and said you shouldn't get arch eye if you use correct eye protection. Thats all I know. I found this video though on youtube.
