If you are in a relationship that causes you frequent pain (emotional or physical), and whether or not the pain is caused either by:
100% other
Or
100% you
Or
50%/50%
Or
Any variation....

It's time to re evaluate, realize dynamics are not good, and give it one final fix attempt (short lived, using introspection and knowledge you gain from being honest with yourself)...

OP might just be venting. If so, believe me - I can empathize with how you feel. If you would like some advice, definitely feel free to elaborate! If not, know that weโ€™ve all probably been where you are right now.

If he is physically or emotionally abusing you, please find help. If itโ€™s a tumultuous relationship, I agree with PepperJ - may be time to re-evaluate.

If you are having frequent disagreements I have one single piece of advice.

Listen.

Give him time to finish what he has to say.

And then before you immediately start in with your rebuttal (because you were NOT listening), repeat back to him what you heard him say.

He should reply back what he heard you say. Then and only then are you paying attention to each other.

And if this has been a long term relationship that is worth committing the extra time, seek professional counseling.

I sort of understand where your coming from.
If your message is not being heard then write it down and show him face to face.
If that does not get the message across then nothing will.
