When a close friend suddenly returns phone calls a week after you left a message and says hes been busy what does that really mean?

It means exactly that. Don't try to read any more into it than that.
If and when you can start to read minds and motives, you're going to be busy too touring the country.

Second, Rockstar160 did this rebuild entirely on his own. He was not asked. He was not paid. He just saw the same need as the original founders did for this site. He spent his own money and time learning how to put it back together. Asking for a small donation is just a way of thanking him for His altruism and seeing the need for this still, probably more so in this day and age. I don't think that need will ever end even long after all of our lives come to completion.
It also should be made clear, none of this money is going into Rockster's pocket. It is solely for the purpose to keep this going for as long as humanly possible.

I want to hug you. Can I please hug you? Virtually of course, and consent is absolutely voluntary!

Me or Rockster? I think we all want to hug him. Even @danihatesyou She doesn't give hugs to just anyone. LOL

@_fourthings_ My motives for wanting to extend the rights to the domain name are twofold. First, we all recall when things started to fall apart just before CBS sold it. I wanted to prevent that from happening again. There were several hundreds of people from its inception that made the old site as good as it was. If everyone was paid, it would have amounted to a payroll in the millions. To make this truly altruistic we all agree to volunteer both of our time and our willingness to help complete strangers all over the world. That, in my mind, is huge.

Yes, and I do not apologize for it either! Which is rather rare for me.

Seriously though, just a photo is costing me $150, when usual con prices are around the $60-$80 mark. I've saved for three months even before it was announced he was coming, but I go to at least two each year - it's just that someone actually worth spending that kind of money on rarely steps foot into my crappy city. Lol.

Aria, my sincere apologies. I did not mean to question your gift by any means. I appreciate anyone that is willing to literally put their money where their mouth is. We thank you and anyone else that does.

Donating $10 for now! I'll help out with more next week. I'd have given more, but I have a convention to go to this weekend, and I love you guys, but a photo with Stan Lee comes first. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Priorities!
