The original cofounders were programmers from CNET. One was lived here in the states and the other across the pond in Great Britain. Help was still growing and busting at the seams the space it was allotted on the CNET servers. They did not give it up. They were told to add advertising so it would bring in revenue or sell it. They reluctantly allowed the ads. It still got sold anyway to CBS Interactive as a group deal that also involved GameSpot . com

Helptogo started Jul. 4, 2012. Thats the date the domain was registered.
However, I do not consider it as a replacement to the original. If it was as good as the original, @Rockster160 would have dedicated a lot of time and funding to get this site back to its current state.

I think now we are far better at answering questions or help than anyone else including Siri and Alexa. You can post your query or rant from a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone with internet access.
The only thing I can see an app good for would be to record something for placement later on one of the devices listed above when both time and access allow. Sort of like a note taker.

As I understand it, images that are posted herein are those hosted on some other site. If that host site changes or removes that image from their server, it will be changed or deleted from here. Is that correct? Same with avatars or do they actually get uploaded to here?
