Hint time.

I believe this new feature is getting under utilized simply because no one knows about it.
On the very bottom of every landing page on this site it says:
Home Page - Privacy Policy - Terms of Service - Feedback
If you are at the bottom of a post, especially long ones, and want to go back to the Home Page, its right there! No more scrolling all the way back up and then clicking the HelpQA logo. One step instead of two. Neat? You bet.

If there's enough interest. ๐Ÿ‘ (But that's coming after I get through the gigantic list of updates I've got now)

In my eyes, the only real benefit to having an app is having push notifications on your screen instead of emails. (Which I've toned down because they were sending WAY too often previously)

I think now we are far better at answering questions or help than anyone else including Siri and Alexa. You can post your query or rant from a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone with internet access.
The only thing I can see an app good for would be to record something for placement later on one of the devices listed above when both time and access allow. Sort of like a note taker.

i just mean its easier for me because i have a tablet and smart phone, for help on the go but if it never happens i'll live

Yeah, I tried to get the mobile version pretty usable, but didn't spend a ton of time on it. We could make it really slick so that it's more app-like, but I don't know if it would be worth it or well taken. ๐Ÿ˜„
Although- half of the sites visitors are using mobile devices. A couple using tablets. Desktop is, surprisingly, the least used device thus far.

All that said, you can add the home page as a shortcut on the home screens of the devices. Then it looks like an app, and you're only one-click away! (Still no notifications though. ๐Ÿ˜ž)
