Help me figure this out.

I hate trump and was hoping he would get impeached.

That said, i'm curious which drug you're talking about and if you have a source about the people dying thing.

Why is this happening?

I dont want martial law either.

I heard the that the mayor of nyc city, when he said he was banning public gatherings of whatever number or more, was asked by a reporter "what happens if people don't obey". And he said something to the affect that "what happens is you might catch a virus that'll you'll give to your grandma and kill her."

As of right now, that is the biggest stkck i've heard or seen the gov't use here. And thats also the one thing that does make me happy in all this is that:

People, for the most part that i've seen, are not panicking. They are social distancing out of love and civic duty and that's a beautiful thing and gives me hope.

I remember when hurricane sandy hit my area a few years ago and that was a real poop show as far as fear and panic goes comparably. People were absolutely savage to eachother, and only looking out for no. 1

I havent watched it. Not able due to disability. Can only watch very brief video and only sometimes and mostly only when theres subtitles

To be fair though , even when people do share the source people usually discredit the source anyway.

People often only trust sources frm the athorities.

But the authorities like our government lie to us all the time. I cant understand why people automatcially trust them.. especailly as I have seen first hand how they have decieved the world about my illness as being mental illness when it is neurologcal.

People have died around the globe because of their dishonesty. Even he chief medical office refused invitations to Invest in ME reserch conferences for 10 years plus

It's true the government lies about a lot of things and the government does bad things. That doesn't mean that the corona virus is really a coverup for radiation caused by the 5G grid. Referring to the guy in the video: I'm not going to take lessons on what viruses are from a guy who sounds like he didn't pass 8th grade biology.

Whether someone believes in a conspiracy theory or not, in the end they are still trusting an authority. It's just they're preferring one authority (whoever is making the video or post or whatever) over another (the government, scientists, medical community, etc).

I trust what my experience tells me to be true, and when someone who actually cites facts of about the body that Iam familiar with and coincides with other things I have learned about body, I trust that.

I tried watching that video out of curiosity.

First couple of minutes is a guy making statements without supporting them with evidence.

Then there is some kind of radio show or maybe podcast or something where a guy is interviewing...some dude with a long name...and said do begins talking about diseases. I stopped watching he started talking about cells having blood and nerves.

I mean, it's really not going to take long to see if your predictions are true, so rather than attempt to talk you out of your self-induced panic i'm going to sit back and let reality take care of that.

Social distancing is temporary.

As is the natural course of this, most people are more affected by the social distancing than by the virus at this point and many will reap the benefits of social distancing while complaining about it the whole time and after its all said and done will insist that it was really nothing. Because social distancing made it less bad than it could have been. Sigh.

I'm in an area that has been hit hard by corona and I don't really feel that way at all, neither does anyone really, and neither am I seeing that in the media or from our elected officials. At least not from the sources I've watched.

There is justified concern about what is happening, yes, but there is a difference between being civically responsible and panicking.

My office has closed due to corona virus starting Monday, and they will pay me for 14 days, after that I have to start using vacation or sick time. Or maybe I get terminated, probably not, but my boss said it couldn't be ruled out. Is that panic or depression or paranoia? I don't think so. Indeed, people have died, and will continue to die of this thing, and we're all doing our part to save lives.

I think the issue is that people, day to day, have very low stakes situations in their lives. And then something SERIOUS comes along and instead of changing their mindset appropriately, they get offended when everyone else's mood changes and say "you're all just overreacting, it's just the flu." Then one of their friend's mom dies of said flu and then maybe it seems a bit more serious, or maybe they rationalize it in their heads by thinking "oh, that old bag was old, she was probably gonna die soon anyway."

I live with two parents who are over sixty years old and both have issues that further compromise them. I'm sorry that people can't go to bars and nightclubs to get drunk and maybe laid right now but I'm more worried about people dying and not overloading our healthcare system. And I am genuinely sorry that this is going to hurt the economy but the economy will bounce back. We won't get our loved ones back.

This is a pandemic. It's not the first, and it's not even close to the worst. But it won't be the last...consider it a dress rehearsal for when we have a disease that is as contagious as COVID but instead of having a death rate of less than one percent, it has a death rate of 60 percent (which one strain of the bird flu has had).

I believe that social distancing can only go on for so long, because eventually the economy has to get started again, because if it doesn't, we're going to have worse problems than COVID. But for right now I am happy that we're all doing our part and social distancing, whether by force or by choice, and slowing down the spread of the this virus.

so is that 1k stim pack check really coming in the mail?

I understand feeling its too good to be true, but...it's not like these people are doing it out of the good of theie hearts. A recession hurts everybody so yeah they want to help get the economy jumpstarted.

1000 bucks might mean the differnce between making or not making ends meet for a lot of people.

I think for those who dont really need it its extra spending money to get the economy started again.
