Does anyone know of any pet shelters that accepts donations of unused prescription drugs?

Like our dear friend Daft Punk/Alice, I had a Huskie with a seizure disorder. He passed away this past Saturday night. I have some phenobarbital left that I would like to help someone else who's pet is in need.

I don't know about the laws there, but I know here they aren't allowed to take meds in that fashion, on the off chance that they were tampered with, or have gone beyond their expiry.

I'm so sorry that your dog passed

Idk if donating to shelters for animals is different.... obviously you can't "really" share human drugs due to potential tampering/wrong rx, etc...
I would think potential tampering would be the shelter's biggest concern. If they know you personally, it may be less of a concern

I did inquire at his vet. I was told that vets may not accept them for resale. They CAN be donated to a shelter that would only allow them to be used for pets in their care. Neither of the shelters I called around me need them. I am willing to mail them to a shelter that currently could use them.
