I thought I was going to have a breakdown earlier.

Any way to help calm me? The past couple of weeks have been very overwhelming for me. Lots going on in my personal life, my work life, home life, etc. Today when I was driving to work it just hit me. My heart started racing and I had a million things going through my mind. I took some deep breaths and that calmed it for a moment but then it came right back. I was having chest pains. I thought I was going to have to pullover but there was basically no where for me to stop that in my mind would be a safe spot along the highway. I kept going. But the first few hours of work I felt so jittery. This has never happened to me before. Iโ€™m not really sure what to do because it scared me. I just feel like people...friends...my family...a guy...coworkers...have been driving me crazy lately and I just think itโ€™s overwhelming me. Any advice?

Sometimes you just have to take a few days to yourself. Can you book a weekend out of town or go stay with a friend for a while? It might help you gain some perspective.

I know exactly what you mean, I have been feeling the same way recently.

I like to write down my problems, in detail, with exactly what is wrong. Then I work out if the fear is a feeling or if it is based on fact. And I form a plan to overcome it.

Look into cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) which could help to reduce some stress.

Okay, it seems you have a good grasp on the things going on around you.
Some of the trouble could be that you're carrying on in your daily life with the assumption that these other things sorta take care of themselves(and maybe to a point they do).
However, some things need a little extra attention and if you live on in blissful ignorance, they have a way of catching up with your conscious.
So....sit down with a pen and paper and go over the things you're aware of and try to work out what it is that you're so concerned about. Doing this deliberately sure beats the red lights on the dashboard from going off in your face.
And for a time, your problems will be solved...

Sounds like you were having a panic attack tbh. Sometime away from things could help. I would mention the experience to your doctor just in case.

Try not to get too worked up while driving, that can be dangerous.

Daily prayer:
Dear Lord. Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Repeat as often as necessary.

I do believe in God. Yeah, I probably should take some time off.

I have a little book. I have been going through some books i have. One is a book of quotes and the other is a sort of diary with a nice section of words per each day.

I also have a bunch of quotes saved on Facebook.

Ive looked online in places and on my couple posts for reassuring bible quotes.

Anyway i got lots of gel pens and i write one quote per page in one colour. Then i change the colour for each page. Its been really quite nice actually.

Ive sort of made me own pick me up book. So when i feel bad I can try to use it as a pick me up

I also dug out my talking changes book and went through some of it. Only some parts are not helpful because my fears are rational. I wish they werent.

Im having a diazapam and zopiclone 2nite. Diazapam is addictive but its magic stuff works a treat. For anxiety. Zopiclone for sleep

Give God your worries and let him carry you. Close your eyes and trust it will all be ok. He cares for you. He knows how you are feeling. He knows whats in your heart. He loves you. When you know not what to do. Close your eyes and breath and have faith he will keep you safe. And if anything ever happens to you, he will remember your faith and what happens in this life won't matter in the resurrection.

Sometimes i have imagined myself held in comforting "arms" of God holding me in a loving warmth of security and love. God keeps me safe. He protects me. What ever will happen in this life will bot so much matter in 5he resurrection.
In the resurrection all troubles will be gone. One day all your troubles will be gone.

No more tears nor pain not fears
