I think you just need the URL enclosed in brackets like this ][ except ya know, backwards

Don’t even need the brackets. Just paste the url, and it should be picked up automatically if you’re pasting a link to YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

Same with images, gifs, etc. if you want to show a preview to a url you’re linking to, THEN you enclose it in square brackets.

I did find one slight hiccup. If you type any text in the post prior to the url, you need to leave at least one blank line of space between them.
