Some youngsters are known to be wiser than their years.
You could always ask to be referred to someone older if you don't like what advice is being given.

Ok now I am confused.
The original post (edited) was about Millennials giving advice to suicidal people.

I believe that it had to do with people born from the year 2000 on...
They would be 18 this year...so I kind of understand what the original poster was trying to say.
They really haven't had enough time to get the experiences of life to be able to hand out advice when it comes to suicide...or hopefully not anyway....
Millenials need to be concerned with getting through school and being happy and having some fun before they get down to the less pleasant things life tosses at us...

Cara. A friend of mine worked the suicide line and quit because the millennials answered calls and were texting their boyfriends or whoever and didnt give a shiit about callers.

Ohhhhhh....oh that just sucks.
I am a dispatcher for my county police where I live...and we deal with this all the time.
There is ONE co-worker who will sit there totally quiet when one of these calls comes through....she freezes....and someone else has to jump on it quickly...
I don't think that she will hold down the job much longer.
I think that it should be a requirement that you have a few years under your belt before you get hired for this job.

Wow I thought all the call answerers at those hotlines are volunteers not paid callers.

Pointing the finger at the age group is not constructive. HR and supervisors are dropping the ball here.

Actually, millennials are those born between 1980 to 1994. Anyone after is generation Z. So I believe you complaint is with the wrong generation.
