I finally finished my course that I have been working on for two years.

Yay.

But now my parents are pressuring me to โ€˜start earningโ€™ in their words.

Funny thing is I AM earning. They make it sound like I donโ€™t have a job and that my current work is irrelevant. Granted itโ€™s not enough to allow me to move out but I am running my own business and beginning another.

Ahh and they wonder why I feel so worthless and insecure....

Congratulations on finishing your course! What was it? And yeah, when are parents satisfied, huh? Hope they will cut you some slack and let you just celebrate.. Well done, again! A great achievement.

One more accomplishment - one more milestone under your belt.
Well done, Nix, bravo!
As for earning, it sounds like you just need to advertise and attract clientele. It takes a little time to establish that kind of customer base (but I get the feeling, once you do, they will keep on with you.)

I was super interesting and challenging. But Iโ€™m so glad itโ€™s over.

I guess Iโ€™m just so sick of people telling me what I should do all of the time

Yes, I understand. Your parents should treat you with respect, and not as a child. I suppose you are over 16? Is it possible to talk to your parents about it?

Iโ€™m well over 16. And I have tried. But they canโ€™t help themselves. They kinda just see me as a doll who needs to be told what to do. In reality I know what Iโ€™m doing and have a plan to get there.

And no I canโ€™t share the plan with them. They will laugh. I know because I have told them itโ€™s before.

Itโ€™s a viable plan but since it doesnโ€™t conform with doing f all like they do then they donโ€™t approve

Thatโ€™s brilliant new luv. Well done!

Hm, are they asking you to โ€˜earn more moneyโ€™ because they want you to pay rent?

I donโ€™t think so. They just seem to think that I donโ€™t work.

Maybe itโ€™s because Iโ€™m the only one that doesnโ€™t *****bitch about work. I suppose I have it fairly easy compared to them.

Or maybe because I donโ€™t have to get up early and physically go to a place to work.

Mind you. My mum isnโ€™t working atm either....

Oh, that's so annoying when parents still treat us as children :( Nothing works with my mum, but google says there are ways with other parents ;) - https://www.google.com/search?q=when+parents+tr...

Wow, great work, congratulations!

Ignore your party pooper parents for now. If they want you to move out or pay rent, they should tell you straight like adults. Until they make it clear what they need from you, it's only your business how you live your life and what you are doing for your career. Congratulations on finishing your course!

I have two more courses to do, reactive dogs, and search and rescue dogs. But they're not essential to my business. I just enjoy studying and need to be the best at what i do. I want to teach more than puppy and basic obedience classes.

Search and rescue sounds interesting.

How long are the other courses?

I think it would take a month each of ********hardcore study. But there's no time limit on them thankfully.

Ive been really lazy since i finished. Issues at home are just keeping me in bed until mid morning. I really dont want to get up anymore.

At least you waited til you'd finished before you started with the laziness.

Nothing wrong with taking some down time and doing nothing for a while

Iโ€™m trying to get it up and running. Funnily enough my best business card would be a dog to show off with. Ironically Iโ€™m not allowed a dog. So atm Iโ€™m not doing much.

Itโ€™s my dream to go and compete in several disciplines. But I canโ€™t. Since I donโ€™t have a dog capable. ( I have a rescue who is scare of everything so unfortunately i canโ€™t take him).

Yeah. Iโ€™m mega pissed off atm

When you are a business owner, you have to eat, sleep and breathe your business 24/7!

But it's better than working for other people!
