Thoughts are always and constant.

Imagine your swimming in these waters with a snorkeling mask and breathing tube. You borrow a knife jacket from the workers and swim out.
You dont put the life jacket on. You just put it underneath yourself so you can float easier since you dont have flippers and you'll be going out by yourself.
Best time snorkeling so far. Lots of pretty fish. Mostly the same fish but sometimes you see something new.
You swim out farther and farther and eventually your past the inflatables.
They have 3 different rows of buoys and you dont know which is your limit. You assume that the first set, since they are far and inbetween, is just a marker for people to see and not a limit. So you swim out further with your head down looking for fish.
On the island they rent jet skis and there are boats.
[All of a sudden while you are watching the fish some inexperienced jet ski tourist doesn't see you and is coming too fast.] It doesn't help that your green-blue swimsuit isnt very noticeable in the water and that the bright orange lifejacket is under the water with the black side facing up.
[The jet ski runs over your head cracking it open and knocking you right out.
Bleeding and brain damage seems the least of your concerns because now you are drowning. The life jacket wasn't secure but even so in salt water you float more easily. Still, your face is down. Your breathing tube sinking to the ocean floor, your unconscious and wouldn't posess the ability to use it in this state anyway.
And with that being said, you drown. They discover your body off the shores a mile away.]

This was my worry while snorkeling in Cozumel, yet I did it anyway because I guess part of me welcomed death.
This story may sound far fetched but in the Cayman Islands only 2 days prior a tourist from our boat was found dead washed up on shore after snorkeling. He, however, wasnt hit or injured by anything.

It seems that you both fear and are attracted to death. It's an unhealthy relationship.

I know it's hard, but you gotta break up with him. He's bad for you at this phase of your life. When you have both matured, you can meet again, but right now he will only hurt you.

I missed something somewhere. This started out as an imaginary story of Nevermind and a dead body. Maybe it's only me but breaking up with someone who is already dead doesn't seem that hard to do.

Soco it's a true story narrating my actions and my thoughts about dying at the time, and my thoughts of danger were the actual thoughts I had.

I just tried to tell the story in the way that maybe you could imagine yourself in my shoes

I was just on vacation in mexico on a 6 day cruise. We visited 3 locations. The first day off the boat at a location we were snorkeling someone died from our boat. They were found on shore.

The photo I took, my brother is the boy in the photo.

So it's a true story just with a twist of my thoughts.

@Nevermind you are a really good writer. I have to admit, I also play out scenarios like this beforehand. It’s cool that you still did it anyway though 😊
