this statement defines my whole existence

everything is is irrelevant

I can't disagree with this, but I see no point to life if we don't fully embrace and live it. We're here - we might as well have fun (and all its accompanying pain.)

We all gonna die in the end, so we might as well have a good life and be happy and do what we can to make people happy until then.

Apathy is really boring.

I was born and raised in the wrong decades...

books were available.. yet you did nothing

I still read a lot of books. I read the whole public library - at least all that I was even remotely interested in - as a child/teen in the 80s. Now I read mostly ebooks, because I've got a tablet and can read in the dark.

In my opinion, now is better than the 80s, but not good enough to settle for. I think I'll keep moving and see what else is coming.

Yeah but the 80s didn't have the internet.

We did have remarkable hair and music though.

once a black person said to me, you were born white, that's like winning the lottery, i thought about it and said to them, i didn't get the money.

No. There really is "White Privilege". It just doesn't extend to all white people.

I know I have it easier than most black people from a background similar to mine. And I also know I have it easier than a lot of other white people.

What we need to do is start listening, stop generalizing, and start recognizing that when we are divided we are weak. We need to honor the hardships that everyone goes through, not fight over who had it worse, and join together as humanity against oppression and suffering.

What would you do?

Always do what is right for you. Don't worry about what your sister says.

Full time work with benefits it's awesome. If you don't get the job, you can continue what you've been doing.
