My samsung a9 phone's screen broke , the staff at samsung said if they fix the screen , the data will be erased , but due to the pin lock screen , i cant transfer data anywhere without unlocking(which

Seems strange to me that they erase the data to fix the screen? That just sounds like they're replacing the phone or something...

Unfortunately, sometimes there is just simply nothing that we can do. ๐Ÿ˜ž

One thing that will help for the future is to auto-backup all of your data to the cloud somewhere so it doesn't get lost.

Should I stay or should I go?

I was in a surprisingly similar situation just a couple of months ago.

I totally understand the loyalty thing.

However, more importantly than loyalty is happiness. At least in my opinion, enjoying your job is far more important than money... Obviously- thatโ€™s only to a certain degree. You need money to survive.

If you really canโ€™t afford to stay, and you know the company cannot afford to pay you more, there isnโ€™t much of a choice there.

If the company has any sort of respect towards you- theyโ€™d tell you: do whatโ€™s best for you. Make the decision out of YOUR best interest. The company will figure itself out.

โ€”โ€”

My advice? Put in some applications. Do some interviews. Look around. If you find a job you canโ€™t turn down- take it. But job searching takes time, so itโ€™s not like youโ€™re leaving tomorrow. And you ALWAYS have the freedom to choose whether or not you take the job.
At the very least- that will give you some feelers on how long it will take you to find a job, about how much youโ€™ll be able to make at these other companies, etc. Also, youโ€™ll be able to get a feel for how much you like these other places and decide whether youโ€™ll fit. Plus getting experience interviewing is ALWAYS good because interviews suck.

What is the most ethical profession?

I think every occupation (yes, including politicians) is by default, ethical.

It comes down to the individual- and it also comes to interpretation. The more eyes on you there are, the higher chance you'll do something that's deemed "unethical" to somebody.

Then people start to form assumptions, and just knowing you are in the occupation as somebody they know to be unethical, they assume you're unethical too. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

It's a harsh world, but I like to think people don't WANT to be unethical, they are trying their best to be the best they can be.

It sure is a scary time!

Prompting, pushing, and prodding a person about their past- especially something as sensitive as this- in order to prove a point is both cruel and abusive. Nobody is required to disclose anything about their past.

Throwing facts in somebodyโ€™s face and telling them theyโ€™re wrong over and over again- again, unacceptable behavior.

It is clear that this topic can not be discussed without involving the other correspondents personally and discussion is clearly unhelpful for either side.

Closing this post. Any further attempt to push the discussion on anybody will be not be tolerated.

Going to have to close this post if we can't keep the personal attacks out of the debate.

Remember, we're all people on the other side of our screen names. We are all here to help, and bringing each other down is the opposite of helpful.

Thereโ€™s been a bit more activity lately. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I recently wrote SEO content for a HVAC company. I don't know what the rules of the game were 15 years ago. But I did a quick search and after skimming this article - it could be helpful to your friends.
(okay - won't let me post the link)

So, I'm interested, can you post their site here??

Before you've got a verified account, you won't be able to post links in posts or replies- as a spam prevention tool.

Meta tags, keywords, and backlinks still exist, but they don't have nearly the impact they once had. They've been replaced with "smart" algorithms that look at activity such as how many new users enter, how many stick around, how long normal users stay on pages and the site and such.

Users posting content and such will help significantly, especially content that can picked up by the Google engines and shown to searchers. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello...

Great. ๐Ÿ˜‚

The button says โ€œShout!โ€ And itโ€™s right below the text box on the right side.

Both.

Many MANY of the old users were lost in the initial transition and even more in the followups from that.

We haven't been able to attain many "natural" users yet because we're not high enough on Google's SEO rankings (which increase with "natural" traffic), the name/domain isn't as good as it used to be, and there are a lot more forum-type sites that people visit instead, so there isn't as much of a niche anymore.

Then participation is low because there aren't a lot of new users, so not a lot of posts needing help, so not a lot of means for activity, so people show up less and less. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

But we occasionally get new people trickling in, and very occasionally that is a natural/new user. ๐Ÿ˜
